The Forumula 1 will try out its new models in Cheste. Nine of the ten motor-racing teams registered for the World Championship event will be getting their single-seaters ready on the Valencian racetrack from February 1st to the 3rd inclusive. Till February 3rd, the Racetrack will be the training venue for most of the motor-racing teams and their new single-seaters.
On the Cheste track Renault will display its new single-seater, the R26, which was presented in Montecarlo on January 31st. The day after the Cheste display, Fernando Alonso's team will start its three day training period, while simultaneously assessing the capacity of rivals McLaren, with Montoya and Kimi Raikkonen on his team, Ferrari, with Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa, Honda, with Jenson Buttone and Rubens Barrichello, Toyota, with Ralf Schumacher and Jarno Trulli, Willams and BMW Sauber.
During the third week of February, Formula 1 will once again turn its attention to Valencia during the training sessions of Renault, McLaren, Williams and the new Midland F1 motor-racing team, with drivers Christian Albers and the Portuguese Thago Monteiro now confirmed.
A week before the start of the Ferrari Championship, from February 27th to March 3rd, McLaren, Williams and Toyota will definitively have their single-seaters ready for the start of the competition. Once the races begin, Red Bull and Williams will be back in Valencia from March 29th to the 31st inclusive.
The Valencian Community racetrack Ricardo Tormo in Cheste has scheduled for the 2006 pre-season twenty-four days of Formula 1 training, in anticipation of the start of the competition in Bahrein, on March 12th.
