Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia begins its programme with Parsifal, an adaptation of Wagner's sacred festival drama. This opera will be performed on Saturday 25th October, under the musical direction of Lorin Maazel and staged by the renowned film maker Werner Herzog. This German director has a number of celebrated films to his name, including Fitzcarraldo and Aguirre, the Wrath of God. This opera will also be performed in the Main Auditorium of the Opera House on October 27th and 31st, and November 4th and 7th.
The third season at the Opera House also features a number of other world class concerts and ballets. Over the next few months, you can also enjoy Luisa Miller and Iphigenie en Tauride at this stunning venue, performed in November and December, respectively.
