The scent of gunpowder is in the air, along with the sunrays and joyful spirit of the great Valencian festival. The city is being transformed, infecting us with its glee.
The thronging emotion packed mascletàs fireworks displays, each day at 2pm in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, are whetting our appetites.
Also this week, on Saturday, the 11th, we will be able to follow the Cabalgata del Ninot parade from Calle Xativa, Marques de Sotelo, to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Maria Cristina, and back again to Calle Xativa. This will be followed by a mascletà fireworks display in colour in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
The music, the passacaglias, the petards, the falleros and falleras are multiplying in the streets as the plantà, when the fallas festival officially begins on the 15th, draws near. Join us!
