The Almudin (15th-16th centuries) was the main building destined to storage, distribution and sale of wheat of the city of Valencia. It is located in one of the most beautiful spots in the city, the charming square of Saint Luis Bertran. The Escriva Palace built in the 15th century is also in this square, though it was completely restored in the 18th century. The Gothic gate of this palace is adorned with a lancet arch and tympanum.

On the left of the square is the Almudin, with an arcade built in the 16th century. The Almudin was built over an old Muslim palace. Once inside, you can see mural a collection of popular paintings, with murals depicting scenes related to the commercial activities that took place as well as paintings of the patron saints of the artisans that worked there.

In 1996 the building was restored in order to convert it in a museum space that hosts temporary expositions.
