Visit Valencia Old Town
Visit to the old part of the city. It’s one of the oldest and best kept in Europe. There you will find stunning examples of Gothic, which deserves a separate section, Neoclassism (the former University), Baroque (Marquis de Dos Aguas Palace) or Modernism (Estación del Norte).
Visit La Lonja (The Exchange), declared in 1.996 as Heritage for Mankind by the Unesco. Just in front of it, an interesting piece of modernism: the Mercado Central, full of vivacity. The Estación del Norte is another good example of a modernist building, which boasts a beautiful façade decorated with allegorical tiles.
Visit the Cathedral, a combination of late Roman Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque with the Museo Catedralicio that houses exquisite pieces of gold and silverwork, collection of religious paintings from the valencian school and other unique works, such as paintings by Goya for San Francisco de Borja chapel.
The Marquis de Dos Aguas Palace offers the must examples of Valencian Rococco, and is where Museo Nacional de Cerámica is located.
Visit the Serrano and Quart Towers part of the ancient wall of the Town, the Plaza Redonda, one of the most curious and typical places. It has a central fountain surrounded by many stalls where the commercial activity makes this plaza one of the most bustling of the city.
