The institutional concert commemorating the Region of Valencia Day will open the programme of the Palau de les Arts de la Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (Palace of the Arts of the City of the Arts and Sciences). The majestic building designed by Santiago Calatrava will, thus, be turned into the world centre of music.
After the inaugural concert on 8th October, the Palau de les Arts will continue its programme with the representation of the opera Fidelio by Beethoven on 25th, 28th and 31st October and 3rd and 7th November.
On 29th the Gala Operalia will take place and on 1st November the symphonic concert Only Beethoven. On 2nd November there will be a recital by Daniel Barenboim and on 4th the gala of the UNESCO Voice of the World, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary. The programme will continue until the end of the year with the staging of operas, concerts and recitals.
