Journey to Ancient Greece in the Prehistoric Museum of Valencia

The Hijos de Cronos exhibition, which is being held in the Prehistoric Museum of the Diputacion Provincial de Valencia, is produced and organized by the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterraneo savings bank. It is an extraordinary display whose valuable pieces, beautiful Greek vases from the National Archaeological Museum, recount a glorious past, of the rites and customs of the Hellenic culture, a way of living that arrived at our lands through the substantial trading established between Greece and the Iberian Peninsula.

You can visit Los Hijos de Cronos exhibition until the 25th June, and enjoy a magnificent selection of artefacts from the best pottery makers and painters of Greek vases, from the VIII-VII Centuries B.C., in the dawn of culture of Homer, until the III Century B.C., the golden age of the Hellenic empire. The display is comprised of 45 unique and perfectly preserved Greek vases that are beautiful antiques and worthy of admiration. Furthermore they were a form of communication, through the scenes painted on the vases that reflect the day-to-day life in Classic Greece.
