Turia River Gardens

Jardines del Turia

The Turia Park is located on the old river bed which ran through the Valencia. The 9 km long river bed has been transformed into a mixture of playing fields, cycling and walking paths, and gardens.

The Turia gardens are located in the former riverbed of the River Turia. The Turia river used to flood regularly, and after a particularly bad flood in 1957 approval was given for the river to be diverted away from the Valencia city centre. The Turia gardens are a relaxing place for a walk if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The Turia Park is the most important park in Valencia. Nearest metro: Turia or Alameda stops.

Valencia Gulliver Park

Valencia's Gulliver Park

Gulliver Park is an amusement park located on the banks of the Turia River, near the City of Arts and Sciences, where there is a giant figure of Gulliver along with slides, passageways, climbing ropes and stairs in a closed and fenced area. The park is inspired by the story of Jonathan Swift. Gulliver Park is original, super fun and free. Perfect for children up to about ten years old and to enjoy with the family.

Some days, especially on weekends, there are a lot of people. It is important to go with long pants (jeans) so as not to get sunburned when going down the slides. It has a schedule and is an enclosed area with controlled access.
