The Valencia Beaches

Valencia Beaches

The city's coast consists of three Mediterranean beaches: Las Arenas, la Malvarrosa and Alboraya, in addition to the Cabañal neighborhood, where the city's fishermen once lived. If you are fit enough, try to walk along all three in just one morning. If not, just enjoy the landscape and the sea breeze while sipping on a refreshing drink in any of the open-air terraces facing the sea.

The city of Valencia boasts beaches furnished with an array of facilities. At any time of the year and just a few minutes out of the city centre, you can find the Arenas and Malvarrosa beaches, accessible via urban bus routes, tram and by car. Why not walk there, or cycle? Just next to them is the Paseo Marítimo, which has become one of the most popular recreational areas. Here, you can enjoy a walk, roller-skating, jogging, sun bathing or stop off at one of the restaurants for a delicious paella or a fresh fish stew. If you prefer more natural beaches, just 10 km out Valencia – right at the heart of the Albufera Nature Park – you'll find spectacular dune-lined beaches with grassy expanses.
