Visible from Calatrava's Puente de la Exposición is the distinctive Puente de las Flores, which is decorated with 27,000 beautiful flowers of all colours, which vary throughout the seasons. The Puente de las Flores was built in 2002 to replace a temporary pontoon constructed to meet the demands of the city’s traffic.
